Contributory Grant - A new system is in place
This grant is funded by WC and SBC and given to the WSCSP
to be distributed between the workforce and there is a limit to how much any employer
can claim; it can be claimed by any CQC regulated Adult Care Employer in Wiltshire &
Swindon who requires specific or specialist training for their staff; the training cannot fall under the following categories:
Any training which falls under “Health &
Safety” i.e. Fire, Risk Assessment, Moving & Handling, etc.
It cannot fund any QCF/NVQ as this can be claimed under
the WDF below

Workforce Development Fund - WDF 2017/18
The WSCSP have been successful in securing funds to support
staff training, through the Skills for Care Workforce Development Fund (WDF)
for 2017/18. This means if you are a Wiltshire or Swindon employer and have
employees who have completed and/or are completing QCF qualifications (paid or
received free of charge) then funding could be claimed to support your future
fund can support a range of QCF qualifications covering:
Level 2 & 3
Diploma in Health & Social Care
Level 5 Diploma in
Leadership of Health & Social Care

Registered Managers Network
Wiltshire and Swindon Care Skills
Partnership (WSCSP) and Wiltshire Care Partnership (WCP) have together secured
a small grant to help establish a Registered Managers Network.
The aim of
this network is ultimately to enrich the skills and knowledge of Registered
Managers of adult social care services in Wiltshire and Swindon, enabling them
to share information and network in a relaxed and mutually supportive
atmosphere. At quarterly meetings, guest speakers will be invited to lead
sessions on topics requested by the Managers themselves.
- The next meeting date is scheduled for the 7th December 2017, at Market Lavington Community Hall
