We are an employer led organisation who supports the Independent, Voluntary & Private – IVP Adult care workforce in Banes, Swindon & Wiltshire. We are financially supported by Bath & North East Somerset Council, Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council and Skills for Care.

Would you like a career in Adult Social Care? We give advice and support to anyone who would like a career in Adult Social Care regarding Traineeships and Apprenticeships (an apprenticeship can be undertaken at any age).

We also provide advice and support to the Wilts & Swindon IVP Sector on Adult Training courses with regard to grants and funding which may be available for staff training.: There are currently 2 streams of funding available through the BSWCSP:

Contributory Grant  

This is currently closed due to a reduction in funding.  A new criteria is under review by the Board.  Please keep an on the website for further updates.

  • Workforce Development Fund - WDF 2018/19 - Now Open


    Please remember that your NMDS-SC will need to be updated as from 1st April 2018 to be able to claim in the new 2018_19 funding year.  

  • We are now able to process claims for WDF for the 2018_19 year (1st January 2018 - 31st March 2019).  Please note that this is the final year for claiming QCF's.  Please click here for further information regarding WDF.

  • For any RQF claims please see the funded qualification and learning programme link here - this also details that we can only now accept RQF qualification certificates from the awarding bodies listed.

  • The maximum amount that can be claimed per learner is now £1200 per financial year.

    Registered Managers Network

    • Wiltshire and Swindon Care Skills Partnership (WSCSP) and Wiltshire Care Partnership (WCP) have together secured a small grant to help establish a Registered Managers Network. 
    • The aim of this network is ultimately to enrich the skills and knowledge of Registered Managers of adult social care services in Wiltshire and Swindon, enabling them to share information and network in a relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. At quarterly meetings, guest speakers will be invited to lead sessions on topics requested by the Managers themselves.
    • The next meeting date is scheduled for the 16th January 2019, at Market Lavington Community Hall
